A Salute to the Red, White & Blue

The festivities begin at 6pm with live music and food. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and have a picnic or BBQ while enjoying the concert in the park. The event will feature Latin and R&B band SOLSA on the main stage at Strauss Island.

Two-day festival celebrating the local community and our American heritage. It is the signature event for the community.  Food, Booths, Exhibits, Kids Zone with petting barn, train, pony rides and petting barn. Carnival rides, Fireworks.

The fireworks will be launched from Sierra View Country Club but the public viewing area will be from the Grandstands and the lawn at the Placer County Fairgrounds. Food will be available for purchase.

Sacramento

River Park Firecracker Parade and Festival

The Firecracker Parade will feature neighborhood kids on bikes, scooters, tricycles and skate boards, dogs, cats and babies in strollers and wagons. Also, a number of parents. The parade also will include a collection of River Park’s old and antique restored cars and trucks. Games, snacks, ice cream in Glen Hall Park following the parade.
When: Monday, July 4, 2011; 8am Fun Run, 10am Car Parade, 11am Firecracker Parade

Sacramento Independence Celebration

The celebration begins with music provided by 107.9 The End, followed by a spectacular live performance by the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West beginning at 7:30 p.m.! Poppy, the State Fair Mascot, will also be on hand to entertain and delight both young and old. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.  Arrive early and bring lawn chairs and blankets.
When: Monday, July 4, 2011; Starts at 6:00 p.m.; Fireworks 9:30 p.m.
Where: Cal Expo, East Gate Entrance (located at the intersection of Exposition Blvd. and Challenge Way)
