International Gymnastics Centre

My eight-year-old daughter, Madeline, has wanted to try gymnastics for as long as she has been able to talk! We’ve had her trying out so many other activities that she has not had the opportunity…until now. She was ecstatic to get the chance to go to International Gymnastics Centre’s Spring Break Camp! A friend from school also registered and I have to tell you, the girls had such an amazing time that they can’t wait to go back!

Now it is time to sign up for their SUMMER DAY CAMP and I highly recommend it!

International Gymnastics Centre offers a number of exciting full and half-day camps all year for boys and girls ages 5 – 12. Camp is conducted in their spacious 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art gym, which is conveniently located right off the I-80 freeway in West Sacramento, just minutes from Natomas, downtown Sacramento, and Davis.

Our internationally acclaimed staff includes world champions, national team members, and an Olympian. Our goal is to develop your child’s self-esteem and confidence through the sport of gymnastics. Each day of camp will be filled with five rotations of gymnastics instruction on each Olympic event. Your children will gain focus, balance, strength, and flexibility. Most importantly, they will have fun!

The gymnastics rotations include a huge foam pit, a 40-foot tumble track trampoline, an elite-sized floor, large trampolines, ring towers, vaults, uneven bars, balance beams, and more.

In addition to gymnastics, students are treated to guest instructors for lessons in dance, science, and martial artsHealthy, delicious meals are provided by local vendors such as Chipotle, Subway, Old Spaghetti Factory, and Panda Express.  The kids take home fun and creative art projects.

During Summer Camp, they offer swimming on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the West Sacramento Rec Center! (Transportation provided by united Christian center.)

Whether your child is already a little gymnast OR NOT…this camp includes kids of all levels…and guarantees fun!

My daughter is the perfect example of a first-timer that was nervous. The instructors were friendly and patient with her and catered to each of the kids. Madeline walked away with new skills, more confidence, memories of a fabulous time, and the desire to learn more!

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
