Easter Guide 2015

The Easter Bunny is on his way to help you celebrate the season! There are plenty of egg hunts, arts & crafts, pancake breakfasts, chances to meet the bunny, and even Easter train rides in Sacramento!

I’ve compiled a list of some of the coolest events in and around the county happening this weekend through Easter Sunday.

Grab your basket and go have some fun!

THIS WEEKEND:

Funderland Easter Bash

Meet the Easter Bunny and Happy the Squirrel, Egg hunts every 30 minutes, free crafts throughout the park.
Where: Funderland Amusement Park
When: Friday – Sunday, March 27-29
Cost: $3.00 for Egg Hunt, Ride Ticket prices here. Free ride tickets when you bring in a new game or art supplies for River Oak Center for Children

William Land Park Egg Hunt & Decorated Hat Parade

Live music by Mister Cooper, games, face-painting, photos with the Mr. Cottontail, a hat contest and much more.
Where: William Land Park, 4000 Land Park Dr (Event will be held in park near Riverside Blvd. between 12th and 13th)
When: Saturday, March 28; Festivities begin at 9:30am, hat contest and raffle starts at 10am, and egg hunt starts on 10:30am.

APRIL 1st – 5th

Grandpa Bunny’s Egg-citing Day with the Puppet Company

A tour of the seasons featuring Grandpa Bunny explaining how eggs are colored by rabbits for all the Spring festivities. Featuring lively music, original songs, and even an egg coloring machine.

Bunny Bounce

Bring the whole family for a day of bouncing with a new twist on the traditional egg hunt, a visit from a big bunny, craft, and treats.
Where: BounceU Rancho Cordova & Roseville
When: Thursday, April 2 & Friday April 3
Cost: $8.95 per child, under 2 and adults are free with paying child. Admission must be prepaid.

Fairytale Town Spring Eggstravaganza

Egg hunts, prizes, spring arts & crafts, pictures with Peter Cottontail and puppet shows! Daily egg hunts will be held at Noon, 1pm and 2pm. After each hunt children turn in their eggs for a prize in Mr. McGregor’s Garden. Magical Moonshine Theater will be performing Tales of Br’re Rabbit in the Children’s Theatre at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30pm.
When: Saturday & Sunday, April 4 & 5; 11am – 3pm

The World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt

Blue Heart International is trying to break the Guinnes world record for the largest Easter egg hunt with over 500,000 eggs! There will also be face painting, bounce houses, pictures with the Easter Bunny, food trucks, and more.
Where: State Capitol
When: Saturday, April 4; 9am – 1pm
Cost: FREE egg hunt; $5.00 for additional activities – bounce houses, face painting, etc.; VIP option

Egg Hunts for all ages in the park next to the library.

Morning breakfast, carnival games, train rides, bounce houses, an egg toss competition, egg hunt and much more.

One hour yacht cruise along the river with a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Live narration by the captain and Easter coloring sheets available for kids.
