Exchange Halloween Candy for Goodie Bags and Treat our Troops!

Here’s a great way to keep the cavities away, play in the museum, and support our troops!  Sacramento Children’s Museum is holding a Sweet Exchange event that will give kids plenty of incentive to surrender their loot.

You can extend the fun of Halloween for your kids by letting them dress up in their costumes again. If they bring in their candy, it will be donated to troops overseas and every child will go home with a goodie bag from Capital Pediatric Dentistry! The family that brings in the most candy will win a Smart Gear balance bike from the Museum Store.

When: Friday, November 1st – Sunday, November 3rd; See Museum Hours
Where: Sacramento Children’s Museum, 2701 Prospect Park, Rancho Cordova
Cost: General Admission $7.00 per person

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
