KidzArt, an international children’s art education company that has 60 plus franchises throughout the US, has been providing Sacramento area children with afterschool art education at over 70 local schools since 2005.  They are now expanding with the opening of a new art studio in Natomas.

The owners of KidzArt studio will provide classes for elementary and middle school children, as well as “Mommy and Me” and preschool classes for younger children.  They also provide summer and winter art camps/workshops, classes for scouts, home schoolers as well as art birthday parties.

Early childhood art classes for children ages 2-5 will be one of the focused offerings of the new KidzArt studio.  Creative activities that enhance the fine motor skills of two and three year olds will be offered in a ‘Mommy and Me’ setting and colors, lines and shapes are introduced in the ‘Preschool’ classes.

“As new mothers, we’re both excited to be able to offer studio classes for Moms and younger kids to foster their imaginations and help them exercise their creativity,” says owners Paige Schulte and Jessica Tindel.  “Even at a young age, the fundamentals of art are so beneficial for kids.”

For the month of January, KidzArt is offering FREE “preview” classes for new students and $10 off a studio session or workshop!

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
