Ice Skating and Santa in Midtown

For the first time, Midtown is hosting an ice skating rink during the 2009-2010 winter season!  Holiday fun for the whole family!

Where: 1050 20th St, between J and K.
When: November 20, 2009-January 18, 2010 10am-10pm, 7 days a week (the rink is open rain or shine)
Cost: Adults $8, Children $5, Skate Rental: $2
Parking:
* All day, every day: $5 at 1161 20th Street Garage
(enter on 20th between K and L St)
* Evenings after 5pm and weekends: $2 at 17th Street East End Garage (enter on 17th between Capitol Ave and L St)
* Evenings after 5pm and weekends: Parking lots at 2220 J Street, 2220 J Street, 1815 K Street

They will be offering FREE Group skating lessons!  Here are the dates: 12/8, 12/10, 1/5, 1/7, 1/12, 1/14 at 11:30 am.

Santa Ho Ho Ho

Santa’s Toy Shoppe is offering story time and photos with Santa!  What a perfect holiday activity with the kids to combine ice skating with this story time.  Bring the family and enjoy quiet time as the children gather on an over-sized rug to listen to Santa read stories. Photos with Santa are also available, with a portion of all proceeds benefiting local charities.

Where: 1801 L St., Suite 70 (right around the corner from the Ice Rink)
When: Saturday, December 5th 10am, 12pm, 3:30pm
Sunday, December 6th 10am, 12pm, 2pm
Friday, December 11th 4pm, 6pm
Saturday, December 12th 10am, 12pm, 3:30pm
Sunday, December 13th 10am, 12pm, 2pm

Cost: $3.00 per child (under 12 years old) with a toy donation, or $5.00 without.  Adults accompanying children are free.
