Let’s Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

seussbday

Are you as excited as we are??

This Friday, March 2nd, is Theodor Seuss Geisel’s Birthday AND ALSO our annual National Read Across America Day!

All year long our family enjoys Dr. Seuss books…they are truly our favorites!  Today we pulled out all the Dr. Seuss books we own and plan to practice reading all week long with them.  The kids are also running around singing Mister Cooper’s “Dr. Seuss is on the Loose!” (if you go to his sing-alongs, you surely know this one, too!).  We have learned and been inspired through Dr. Seuss’ wacky and whimsical rhymes…and are looking forward to celebrating!

In the Sacramento area, Fairytale Town, Barnes & Noble, and the Sacramento Public Library are holding some very fun events in Dr. Seuss’ honor!

Affordable movers in Sacramento, CA

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
