Valentine’s Day Events for Families

Love is in the air! If you want to get your kids into the spirit of Valentine’s Day, here are some activities going on in the next few days that are lots of fun for the whole family!

Sweetheart Week

When: Friday, February 11th, Saturday, February 12th, Tuesday, February 14th
Where: Sacramento Children’s Museum
What: Explore the museum’s hands-on exhibits and create a Valentine’s card for the one you love.

Funtastic Friday

When: Friday, February 10th; 4pm-8pm
Where: Funtastic Playcenter – Elk Grove location
What: Play on the indoor playground, enjoy family activities, and make a Valentine craft.
Cost: $2 off regular admission ($8.00 per child), $1 Lamppost Pizza Slices

Vintage Valentine Party

When: Saturday, February 11th; 1pm-3pm
Where: Crocker Art Museum
What: Families will craft Victorian-style Valentine greeting cards, inspired by the historic Crocker architecture, using embossed paper, metallic trim, lace, and embroidered flowers. Everyone decorates and frosts a yummy cupcake to eat or to give away as a valentine.
Cost: $15.00 for one child and one adult; additional family members $7.00 per person

I Heart Sacramento Zoo

When: Sunday, February 12th; 9am-4pm
Where: Sacramento Zoo
What:
Join the beloved animals for a fun day organized by the Sacramento Zoo teen volunteers.  The event features valentine-themed animal enrichments, informative talks and activity tables.

Valentine’s Kids’ Night Out

When: Tuesday, February 14th; 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Where: Bounce U – Rancho Cordova and Roseville locations
What: Drop your kids (ages 4-11) off at BounceU and enjoy a romantic night out with your loved one.  Your kids will get to bounce, play games, eat, and make a special Valentine’s gift for you.  Includes pizza, drink, and ice cream.
Cost: $20 first child, $15 sibling
