Eat, Drink, Relax is Ten22’s motto and that is just what we did for date night last Friday.
Ten22 is owned by the same family as The Firehouse and was voted the Best New Restaurant in 2010 by Sacramento Magazine. It is a fabulous addition to Old Sacramento.
We had such a great time with our friends, talking and laughing the night away. We got there around 8pm (after the kids went to bed!) and there was a nice crowd of people. The restaurant was instantly inviting. Ten22 has managed to create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and cozy at the same time.
I was especially excited that there was LIVE music. The singer/guitar player reminded me of Jason Mraz who is one of my favorites. Every Friday and Saturday, they have great live music from 7-10pm.
It was tough to decide what to order since everything on the menu looked scrumptious. We ended up choosing the Lamb Shank, Rib-eye Steak, and two of the specials that our server recommended…Sea Bass and a Seafood Stew. Our food was delicious! After tasting all of our dishes, the consensus was that my Rib-eye was the plate most worth raving about! We were also impressed with the spectacular service. Our waiter could not have been any better! He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and really took care of us.
Although we go to Old Sacramento for fun with our kids and to entertain out-of-town guests, we typically don’t think of it as our dinner destination. Ten22 has made us rethink that! It has more of a downtown/midtown contemporary feel and is a great place to go for a date night or a special night out with the whole family.
