Have your kids ever seen wool spun into thread?
This Saturday at Fairytale Town’s Farms, Friends & Fairytales event, they’ll have the chance!
Watch Fairytale Town’s twin Babydoll sheep get sheared at 11am & 1pm, then watch as the wool is spun into thread using an old fashioned spinning wheel.
Farmer Brown will also be on hand throughout the day with some of his barnyard buddies for up-close introductions.
Kids will be able to participate in farm-themed hands-on activities, shop the mini farmer’s market, and visit with local area farms and organizations.
When: Saturday, May 17; 11am – 3pm
Park Hours: 9am – 4pm (weather permitting)
Where: Fairytale Town, 3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento
Cost: General weekend admission – $5.50, children 1 and under are admitted free
