Funtastic Play Center in Elk Grove

A brightly colored outlet for the wiggles…this indoor PLAYGROUND is an ideal destination!

Filled with exciting and imaginative “soft play” activities, Funtastic’s equipment is designed to enhance motor skills in a fun filled atmosphere where kids get to explore, climb, slide, traverse tunnels, and construct their own modular designs with a variety of large soft shapes and building blocks.

Funtastic has been under new ownership for about a year and is getting rave reviews.  I say they deserve an “A” for cleanliness, customer service, and catering to both kids’ and parents’ needs.  Get this…you can stay as long as you’d like!  Their weekday hours are for unlimited playtime.

We went after school and my kids had major energy to burn.  They were bouncing off the walls with excitement.  They ran, climbed, slid, and giggled away!  My favorite part was the fact that in the soft play area they used their IMAGINATIONS!  On their own, all three kids figured out creative ways to play with the shapes and blocks.  They formed club houses, obstacle courses, and made up their own little games.

Funtastic even has an activity table with hands-on fun like play-doh and a room full of toys for kids that might need a quiet break.

We spent a couple hours there and they were truly bummed out when it was time to go.  We will have to go back with even more time to spare.  We had a FUNTASTIC time!

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
