2012 Pumpkin Patch Guide

When you think of celebrating Fall with kids, do PUMPKIN PATCHES immediately come to mind? Picking out that perfect pumpkin is a fabulous tradition that your little ones will look forward to each year.

We are lucky to have many wonderful patches in the Sacramento area to choose from that not only have pumpkins, but a variety of attractions that make it a super fun outing. Your kids can be entertained with hayrides, corn mazes, petting zoos, and more! Don’t forget to bring your camera and take advantage of the great photo opportunities!

Typically, these Sacramento area pumpkin patches are just open for the month of October, but many are opening a little early this year on the last weekend of September!

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
