Thumbs up for Disney on Ice: Passport To Adventure

You can expect nothing less than MAGICAL from this Disney on Ice show!

Thumbs up from my kids and I last night after the show! I can say now that I have no regrets for taking them out on a school night…it was worth it! The anticipation leading up to Disney on Ice was so fun to see, then the fun they had during the show, and boy, the thanks I got after the show. Not only was it a treat for them, but for me as well!

We were taken on the ultimate sightseeing adventure in Disney On Ice: Passport to Adventure with our hosts, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. The show has come to Sacramento and will be here until this Sunday, October 13, at the Sleep Train Arena.

It was incredibly fun to see the kids get all excited when a song would start and they recognized a favorite! Then beloved characters would come skating out and they would even MORE excited! It was a blast!

We were impressed by the talents of the skaters, their wonderful choreography and some daring lifts!

On this magical getaway. we traveled along to four exciting Disney destinations:

The Pride Lands with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa

200ed

Under the sea with Ariel and all her aquatic friends

224ed

Hawaii to visit Lilo and Stitch

235ed

Jolly old London with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell and then to Never Land

I highly recommend going to see it…and there’s still time to get tickets!

My Tips:

Arrive at Sleep Train Arena 45 minutes – one hour before the performance starts to allow for plenty of time to park, go through security, go to the bathroom (no lines before show but long lines at intermission), and find your seats. Bring cash for parking. Security checks your bags for food and drinks.

Take the time to remember which section of the parking lot you parked in and the name of the entrance you went in for smooth exiting after the show.

Many kids dress up in their Disney costumes to make the experience extra fun.

Good to know:

All ages are welcome! This is such a family friendly event that kids are talking, cheering, singing along, and it is OKAY!

[Disclaimer: I was given complimentary tickets to the show in exchange for sharing our experience with you, but as always, my opinions are 100% my own]

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
