Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. Now adapted for high school performers, Les Misérables School Edition features one of the most memorable scores of all time and some of the most memorable characters to ever grace the stage.
Young Actors Stage’s production of Les Misérables features high school senior Alex Greenlee as “Jean Valjean.” He has a phenomenal voice and a long list of credits to his name, including the role of “Carlos” in the New York City Broadway revival reading of The Me Nobody Knows directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Taye Diggs. He has also performed in multiple Music Circus productions and landed leading roles for Runaway Stage and River City Theater Company. Greenlee has received Elly nominations for leading actor in Legally Blonde, Shrek, and Children of Eden.
This is the 16th musical production for Young Actors Stage, a theatre company that has introduced over 1000 kids to performing since 2008. The experienced Senior Mainstage performers, making up this Les Misérables cast, attend several local schools, including Sutter Middle School, California Middle School, Kennedy High School, McClatchy High School, and Natomas Performing Arts Academy.
