Disney on Ice at Arco Arena

Hakuna Matata!  Just as promised, we were taken on a Magical Journey with Mickey & Minnie through the Pridelands, Under the Sea, Paradise, and Never Land!  All the familiar characters we love were twirling on ice and the songs we know so well had us singing and dancing in our seats.  Yes – even I couldn’t help myself!

My 4-year-old and 2-year-old boys were mesmerized and sat through the entire show!  From beginning to end, the high-energy kept us all fixated on the exciting choreography.  The characters were brilliant at keeping the crowd captivated, the dialogue was familiar (which helped keep the kids interested), the humor was entertaining, and the beauty was so magical that we could hardly believe how fast the time flew by.

My daughter and her friend spent the walk back to the car discussing how talented the skaters were to do such amazing lifts…and of course, that Ariel was their favorite!  The boys are still pouring over their programs as I write this and pointing out all the scenes they remember with excitement.  It is so fun when an event creates memories that stick with them!

Mickey & Minnie’s Magical Journey will be at Arco Arena until Sunday afternoon.  Click here to see a preview of the show.  There’s still time left to buy tickets!

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
