Moving and Grooving With Mr. Cooper

Kids all over Sacramento are singing his tunes…and his praises!

We quickly became fans of Mister Cooper after visiting his Sing-Along Club for the first time at the Belle Cooledge Library.  He had us moving and grooving to tunes like “Matilda” the pet gorilla and “Funky Freeze Dance”.  He is silly and fun…and all together engaging!

Mister Ken Cooper is a neighborhood favorite, singing “songs that teach” with young kids at schools, libraries and concert venues.  His Sing Alongs are geared toward kids age 7 and under, but even older siblings and parents can’t help but join in!

My four-year-old son, Bobby, is lucky enough to have Mister Cooper visit his Tiny Tots Preschool classroom each Wednesday!  To my surprise, my very shy boy has come home singing the songs he has learned with so much excitement.  Wednesdays have become his favorite day of the week!  Here’s a video of Bobby performing “Circle of Seeds” for me at home…for the first time.

Not only are his Sing Alongs educational and fun, but they are FREE!  You want your kids to SING ALONG with him too?  Here is where you can find Mister Cooper:

My love for exploring and creating experiences with my three kids led to the founding of SacramentoSidetracks.com in 2009. I realized that Sacramento has so much to offer and I was excited to share my findings with other parents. Besides simply having fun, these are the other positive side effects of taking my kids on outings that I’ve discovered: we have quality time together away from the distractions at home, we cultivate our curiosity, learn new things, conversations are triggered by what we see and do, we connect and bond as a family, and we create new memories. Ready to get sidetracked, too? Let me be your guide!
