My family and I attended Nature Fest 2013 at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center and had a great time! This Sunday is Nature Fest 2014, so I thought I’d share these photos with you to give you and idea of what it’s like. Wild Things had so many neat wild animals to show us and we learned a ton of very fascinating things about them! The kids participated in activities the vendors offered and even made abalone necklaces. We took a break and had a snack from a food truck and shared some Italian ice. We spent some time in the nature center looking at exhibits, got up close and personal with more animals, and then took a nature walk. While on our walk we spotted a mama and baby deer. It was a fun and inexpensive day in the great outdoors!
