This Saturday, March 12, is the 15th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Sacramento. This is one of our favorite ways to kick-off the St. Patrick’s Day fun in our family!
The parade will start off at 1:00 pm from 2nd & L Streets and proceeds throughout the historic district.
Over 50 units, with approximately 1,000 marchers, will be featured. Irish dancers in elaborate Celtic costumes, bagpipers, school bands, military regiments, police and fire representatives, costumed marchers and a variety of cultural organizations will bring the luck of the Irish to the event.
All Old Sacramento streets will be closed to traffic from noon to 3:00 p.m., so plan to park in one of the parking structures. Parking for events is usually a flat fee of around $8.00.
To extend the fun, visit the Old Sacramento Schoolhouse for St. Patty’s Day crafts.
