1. Sunrise Mall Kids Adventure Club – Thanksgiving Storytelling
When: Thursday, November 17; 10-11am
Where: Sunrise Mall, Center Court near JCPenney
What: Thanksgiving Storytelling.  Geared towards kids age zero to five, but all children welcome.  Crafts, storytelling, sing-alongs and more every Thursday.

2. Great Gobblers at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center
When: Saturday, November 19th; 10:30am
Where: Effie Yeaw Nature Center, Carmichael; for directions click here (internet mapping leads you to a permanently closed entrance)
What: Look and listen for wild turkeys on a guided walk through the nature area.
Cost: FREE; $5.00 per car donation requested

3.  Free Admission Day at Fairytale Town
When: Friday, November 25; 10am-4pm
Where: Fairytale Town
What: Family can bring canned good for free admission for everyone. Arts and crafts and puppet show.

4. Kids Inc. Ranch at Apple Hill
When: Until Thanksgiving open Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon; Thanksgiving Week open Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun; After Thanksgiving, open Sat & Sun only through the first week in December; 9am-5pm
Where: Apple Hill, Kinds Inc., 3205 North Canyon Road, Camino
What: See the farm animals and walk the nature trail for free.  Corn Maze for children and treats at the bake shop for low cost.
Cost: FREE entrance; Corn Maze $2.00 person.

5.  Nimbus Fish Hatchery
When: Visitor Center and fish raceways open Mon-Fri 8am-3pm and Sat-Sun 9am-3pm
Where: Nimbus Fish Hatchery; 2001 Nimbus Road, Gold River
What: The Fish Ladder is open for the Fall Salmon Run, feed fish for nickel, fun visitor’s center interactive peek through window at spawning process.
