ART + PLAY = WINNING COMBINATION!
Do you have a child between the ages of 6 and 9 that would benefit from a stimulating summer experience? Sparky Art Kids Camp is a summer arts program held at Funtastic Play Center that combines energetic play with artistic expression. What’s more…as Summer Day Camps go…it is AFFORDABLE!
Each week has a fun theme in store that will be carried out with a new fantastic project each day. Kids will also be encouraged to do free choice art, play games with new friends, and enjoy gym time on Funtastic Play Center’s indoor playground!
When my kids played at Funtastic recently, they spent two hours playing hard and using their imaginations and were seriously sad to leave. To imagine an entire week of this kind of fun coupled with amazing art instruction sounds like any kid’s dream!
The Director and Instructor of Sparky Art Kids Camp, Rebecca Phillips, is a credentialed teacher and currently teaches art at her daughters’ elementary school. She also has experience working with children of all ages as a gymnastics coach and tumbling instructor.
I firmly believe that art is an outlet, that it allows kids to be creative and think outside the proverbial box. Kids who are exposed to art at young ages have opportunities to find their strengths in various arenas and they develop fine motor skills as well as improve concentration. My goal is for kids to appreciate the process of creating art while working within thematic parameters and to ignite the spark of creativity along the way. -Rebecca

- Monday through Friday from 10am – 2pm
- Signups limited to 16 kids per session
- One week sessions from June 20 – August 5
