Our Favorite Local Adventures of 2010

Our family had so much fun exploring Sacramento this year and creating some wonderful memories!  We have loved sharing the experiences with you and hope that you have found some fun ideas for your own family.

We’ve picked out some of our favorite adventures from throughout 2010 and here they are:

In JANUARY we had a blast exploring ArtBeast for the first time.

In FEBRUARY we visited the new Giraffe Encounter at the Sacramento Zoo

In MARCH we met our favorite author, Laura Numeroff, at the Central Library

…and we enjoyed the Irish festivities at the Old Sacramento St. Patrick’s Day Parade

In APRIL we treated ourselves to free yogurt and stories at Big Spoon Yogurt Storytime

In MAY we fed the ducks, picnicked and played at McKinley Park

…and went to the Mommy & Me Day at the Sacramento County Fair

In JUNE we laughed at the creatively funny puppet shows at Fairytale Town

In JULY we painted cute animals at the TrailMix.net Store in Old Sacramento

In AUGUST we pet reptiles and learned a TON at Star ECO Station

…and did the neatest science experiments at the Explorit Science Center

In SEPTEMBER we were amazed at Barnum’s FUNundrum at the Arco Arena

…and got a kick out of cars, old and new, at the California Automobile Museum

In OCTOBER we got ready for Halloween with a visit to Dave’s Pumpkin Patch

…and giggled at a wacky version of Snow White at the Sacramento City Theatre

…and saw Disney on Ice’s Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Journey at the Arco Arena

In NOVEMBER we tried out the brand new Kids Adventure Area at the Arden Mall

2010 was a fabulous year…and we are looking forward to more fun in 2011.
